Servicable DET-box RF Pouch
View ImagesThe DET-box RF pouch is a simple and effective way to make the personal transport of serviceable electronic detonators safer for dismounted troops, without the need to carry the additional weight of a metal container.
NSN No: 8465-99-974-9773
Electronic detonator holders are made of graphite loaded polythene, which is effective at reducing static but presents little protection against strong RF signals. In the field, some electronic detonators are therefore at risk from being initiated by extraneous RF energy from communications or ECM type signals.
The unexpected initiation of a box of detonators not only risks the personal safety of the individual carrying them, but the loss of the detonators and damage to other equipment may jeopardise operations.
The DET-box RF pouch incorporates a layer of -100db electromagnetic screening material which shields the box from RF energy. The outer fabric is waterproof nylon and the pouch can be clipped to webbing.
The RF screening fabric in the pouch offers simultaneous protection against high-frequency (RF) AND low-frequency (LF) E-field radiation.
Test results to demonstrate the RF screening efficiency of the det-box pouch are available on request.
The DET-box RF pouch is made to fit the customer’s in-service DET box. Pouches are supplied without the DET box. Minimum order quantity 25.
